bead work
A brief description of bead work:
The child arranges the tiny beads on a peg board shape.
{Some children just fill the board,
and others select certain colors to make patterns.}
When the board is full, a teacher irons it -
the beads melt together, holding the shape.

I can't emphasize enough how much the children LOVE this work!
Check beads and peg boards out here.

  7. Your ideas are so clever and inspiring. Makes me want to be an even more hands on parent. That said, is there any way to navigate your site for activities appropriate for different age ranges? I have twins who turn 3 years old next month, and I wonder which of these posts I should go ahead and try. Is there any particular way to search the site for this type of thing? An age category, etc.?

    Thanks for sharing.
