Our first messy project: cornstarch and water...
First, we filled a tub with cornstarch.
The cornstarch itself was an interesting sensory experience.
It's SO slippery!

Next, we added some water.
If you try this at home, the ratio is 2 parts cornstarch to 1 part water.

(We weren't that precise - we just added enough water to make a thick paste.)
It wasn't quite a liquid, but it wasn't quite a solid...
It was OOBLECK!
Just in case you were wondering...
YES! Cornstarch and water make a delicious combo.(According to Elise, that is!)
That looks so delicious! I love the ever present photobombing dog too. I find myself being a way less fun parent than I was teacher. Although today I made ren his own rubber band nail board thiny, which he loved.
ReplyDeleteOoo... I want to see that rubber band board - that was always such a fun lesson at school.
DeleteThis looks like tons of messy fun! I love simple things...definitely have to try in our future.
