2 friends building short vowel words
with the movable alphabet
{I love this photo}
See those little yellow pouches?
There's one for each vowel
{a, e, i, o, u}
Each pouch has
three ever-changing objects
that share the same middle, short-vowel sound.
I made the blue felt on the right last year...
it's just a rectangle of blue felt
embroidered {ish}
to mimic the lines on
beginning writing paper.
{Let me know if you'd like instructions to make one of your own!}

ReplyDeleteAnne, I just wanted to thank you for your blog. You have inspired me to start a blog 3 months ago. I lost your bookmarked page but found it through searching last night. I was so thrilled. Your the most creative person and you inspired me to make my creative montessori ideas on my page. I wondered where you got your yello knobless cylinders or did you make them. I never seen a set so small. They are adorable. Have a great 2011. Are you going to blog more. I will be visiting often to see if you have more great ideas to help us all with our teaching small children. Sincerely, Lisa
ReplyDeleteDid you hot glue the non dotted lens to the felt?
ReplyDeleteHi there! I think I did something like a chain stitch for the non-dotted line and a running stitch for the dotted line. Hope this helps! :)
